Parking Near Historical Landmarks

The immediate area around historical sites has very limited street parking. The Danger of Clamping
Dublin employs private contractors to enforce parking rules, and they use wheel clamps aggressively. If your ticket expires by even a few minutes, or if you park in a loading bay or bus lane, your car will be clamped. The standard release fee is €125, and you may have to wait up to two hours for the removal van to arrive. Always double-check signage before leaving your vehicle.
